Camperdown Ultimo Alliance

Nurturing collaboration key to realising the full potential of this knowledge rich precinct. Introducing the Camperdown Ultimo Alliance, working with the NSW Government and Tech Central stakeholders

Tech Central is the state’s most mature innovation district and home to three universities, one of the nation’s leading teaching hospitals, research and expertise across fields extending from biomedical, AI, robotics, data science and telecommunications, to media and fintech. To bring together these knowledge rich organisations with the local and state government authorities in the precinct, the Camperdown Ultimo Alliance was formed in 2018.

A collaborative precinct leadership group with a unified precinct voice and a long-term perspective is an essential ingredient in successful innovation districts all around the world. The Alliance brings a shared commitment to working with the NSW Government and other stakeholders to optimise the potential of Tech Central through collaboration.

Alliance partners are working together to create the conditions which nurture research, collaboration and commercialisation outcomes in a vibrant and diverse destination. They are committed to creating a place which attracts national and international expertise and investment.

Its quarterly Stakeholder Forum is a contact point for all stakeholders across the precinct to be engaged in the strategies and activities to deliver the Tech Central vision.

The Alliance is working with the NSW Government on projects which connect people and business, such as the Tech Central (Camperdown Ultimo) place-based transport strategy and the Tech Central calendar of events to connect a global audience to the diverse array of activities happening in the precinct.
